movie night update

Hey Everyone,
Just an update about our movie night tonight.

We’re still on for 8:30pm, but we will move inside to the big screen because of the weather. The Prestige is about 2h 10m long, so we’ll be finished up shortly before 11pm. Hope to see you tonight!

Hi Everyone!
Just a few reminders for this week:

• If you have not yet turned in your hoagie money, it is past due! Please bring it with you to AYF tomorrow night.
• Tomorrow night AYF is having a movie night on the lawn, and will not be meeting at our normal time. We’ll be at the church from 8:30pm – 10:30pm and we’re watching The Prestige. S’mores, popcorn, and drinks will be provided
  • Feel free to bring along a snack to share
  • Bring along your own blanket or lawn chair
  • Invite your friends to come out!
• LIFE-ers leave this Sunday @ 9am. Keep us in your prayers.
• FIFTY6 will be meeting Sunday night in room 203 from 6pm – 7pm.
  • No regular small groups this week – it’s an off week for you!

Yesterday was our second annual AYF Summer Picnic @ the Hilliard’s. Thanks to everyone who came out to celebrate the end of school!

  • Please plan to meet at the Hilliard’s. Call Karl if you need a ride – we’ll have a limited number of seats for carpooling from the church.
  • In the event of absolutely awful weather, we’ll postpone the picnic – watch email & the blog for updates

• Hoagie pick-up is tomorrow @ the church, 4pm-6pm
  • We can still use some help sorting hoagies at 3:30pm

  • Small Groups & FIFTY6 will be meeting every other week.
  • FIFTY6, the new small group for students finishing 5th & 6th grades start this Sunday @ 6pm – 7pm!
  • The next Regular Small Group is Sunday June 24th @ 6pm. We’ll be having a special summer kick-off.

LIFE

• The final LIFE payment is this Friday, June 15. You will receive an email update of your balance today. Please call/email me if you have any questions.

• LIFE meeting for students & parents on Sunday June 24 after the second service. We’ll be going over final details and having lunch with the Penns Valley group. We’ll finish up around 3pm.

Last night our focus scripture was the Parable of the Talents found in Matthew 25:14-30. We talked about the fact that everyone who is a follower of Jesus has been given spiritual gifts. With those gifts, we have a choice – to use them or waste them. The master in the parable wasn’t upset with the last servant because of the money; he was upset because the servant knew the master, and still did less than the least with his responsibility!
